About the Exhibition

The ‘Spirit is in Everything’ is a group exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of Western Australian artists who have embraced their spiritual and creative richness through the transformative practice of the Sahaja Yoga meditation technique.

This exhibition brings together a stunning array of artworks in various mediums that illuminate the profound presence of spirit in all aspects of the living world. Viewers are invited to pause, notice, and absorb the artworks through the lens of their own consciousness.

The Spirit is in Everything includes artists who come from varied backgrounds, from beginner to professional. Showcased is a diverse selection of paintings that inspire the meditative mood, and sculptures and ceramics that explore the infinite possibilities of material form.

Rounding out the festival of creativity to nourish the spirit, are various workshops and events including; a Creative Interactive workshop, Pottery and Meditation (registration is required) and all are welcome to the Meditation and Poetry Evening on Thursday 14th May when original poems inspired by reflection and contemplation by Sahaja Yoga practitioners will be read as well as the recital of poems by realised souls. We will conclude the festivities with a Spontaneous Creativity celebration on Saturday 16th May from 5:30pm. All events are free.

The Inspiration

Inspired by the founder of this global inner peace movement, HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (1923-2011), a two time Nobel Peace Prize nominee, and spiritually evolved personality, who devised a technique for awakening the primordial energy within us known in Sanskrit as Kundalini.

“Once you have known your Self, it’s like a light which gives you a complete balance.”
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi founder of Sahaja Yoga Meditation

Shri Mataji reached out on her world travels to persons seeking to know the truth of their self, and through this technique experienced their self realisation. A spiritual realisation occurs, where we experience the oneness of our self with the whole, the essence of yoga. With our spirit enlightening our hearts, we become aware of an infinite creative lifeforce, or all pervading power of divine love within us and around us in nature and the universe.

Through painting, drawing, ceramics and sculpture, the multinational group of artists ranging from beginner to professional, explore this concept that ‘The Spirit is in Everything’.
