<<< Watch the Sunrise segment on meditation and stress

The authentic meditation experience is neither concentration nor relaxation, nor is it a different way of thinking. Meditation is the experience of mental silence, free of thoughts.

Meditate now with these simple instructions

1- Find a relatively quiet space, sit comfortably with both hands open, palms upwards on your lap.
2- Breathe in a quiet, relaxed way to bring your attention inside, away from external distractions.
3- Try the meditation affirmations and hand positions sequences in the on-line guided meditations below and see which one gives you the best experience
4- At the end of the sequence allow your attention to dissolve into the silent space that is just above your head, keeping your hands palm up on your lap
5- Sit quietly for some time and enjoy the peace, and the flow, of mental silence
6- Do this for about 5-10 minutes ideally twice a day, but anytime of the day or night is fine, even at your work desk or on your coffee break. Make it part of your daily routine and see how it helps you feel better, reduce stress and improve your life in general. Treat it as a personal experiment for the next few weeks and if you feel that it’s working keep it up!

The Meditation Affirmations That You Can Use

Each affirmation is directed at the energy of meditation which exists in all of us. Say each one a few times:
  I am my own master
  I am the spirit
I am not guilty at all
I forgive, I forgive everyone and I forgive myself
Please give me the experience of inner silence

<<< Guided meditation with Shri Mataji, founder of Sahaja Yoga meditation

*What is Sahaja Yoga Meditation?

Sahaja means ‘effortless’ whilst Yoga means ‘union’. Sahaja Yoga Meditation is the state of deeply connected mental silence, a state of effortless equipoise and integration, that facilitates not only the reduction of stress, but other therapeutic and integrational processes. The Sahaja Yoga Meditation technique is a unique, authentic and proven technique that is easy to learn and, with regular practise, generates significant results quickly.

Who discovered the Sahaja Yoga free meditation techniques?

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi developed the Sahaja Yoga meditation techniques. She was a highly recognized international personality who dedicated her life to the positive transformation of society.

How does Sahaja Yoga Meditation Work?

In the saintly / yogic traditions, the pure energy that creates this new state of awareness is called “Kundalini”, the primordial sacred or maternal nurturing power, that exists as a latent potential to be awakened in every person. The Free Meditation programs utilise the Sahaja Yoga Meditation process and techniques to realise this power for clearing, balancing and meditation.
