We invite you to our Music and Meditation event, a rich celebration of meditation and entertainment.

Program

12pm – 12.30pm: Music program with Sahaj Sangeet.
12.30 – 1.30pm: Introduction in Sahaja Yoga Meditation and Self-Realisation experience.
1.30 – 2.00pm: Break – tea, coffee and cakes provided.
2.00 – 2.30pm: Video presentation and guided meditation.

About the Meditation

Sahaja Yoga meditation is a method of true meditation which awakens the state of thoughtless awareness through Self-Realisation.The meditation does not evolve any physical exercises or postures but a simple meditation method, which was established by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi in 1970. This meditation practice has resulted in a breakthrough in the evolution of human awareness allowing everyone to experience peace and joy.

About the Music

The Music will be presented by the Sahaj Sangeet Group. Sahaj Sangeet (pronounced Sa-Haaj San-Geet), meaning spontaneous music are a group of musicians from various backgrounds and cultures. They perform a selection of North Indian light classical, devotional and folk music using traditional and non-traditional instruments including Sitar, Tabla, Harmonium, Guitar, Dholak, Djembe, Chimta, Manjira and Tambourine.

The repertoire ranges from meditative and devotional to high energy numbers which attract audience participation i.e. dancing. Sahaj Sangeet have performed at Fete de la Musique in Brisbane, The Logan Entertainment Centre, Redcliffe Cultural Centre, Indian Bazaar Brisbane, Australia Day Caloundra, Ipswich Festival, Townsville Culture Festival, Gold Coast Multicultural Festival, Woolgoolga’s Curry Fest, Encounters India, The Arts Centre Gold Coast and many more.
