We have pleasure in inviting you to an evening of music and meditation featuring renowned Rajasthani music group ‘Maru Tarang’.
About Maru Tarang
Deep in the Indian deserts of Rajasthan, Australian artists Jeff Lang and Bobby Singh met Asin Langa and Bhungar Manganiyar. Spanning continents and genres, a remarkable collaboration commenced – Maru Tarang. A virtuosic repertoire including ancient Rajasthani songs refreshed by Australian roots; seminal blues by Robert Johnson enriched by Indian flavours; soulful expressions through deep, original and fiery improvisations and compositions…
Maru Tarang features:
- Jeff Lang: Guitars and Vocals
- Asin Langa: Sindhi Sarangi and Vocals
- Bobby Singh: Tabla
- Bhungar Manganiyar: Khartal
These artists have developed their music to be all they need to converse, sans a common language… and the conversation is stunningly eloquent.
Maru Tarang has performed in India (Jodhpur RIFF), Scotland (Celtic Connections) and Australia (Parramasala).
The concert will be preceded by our own “Sahaj Sangeet” music group who have performed around Queensland and New South Wales for ​20​ years.
Costs $25 per person (Tickets limited to 50 persons)
Refreshments: Light snacks including samosas, soft drinks, chai, tea and coffee will be available for sale.

Please note: Cost of admission is to cover Maru Tarang’s performance fee and fund raising for renovations to our meditation hall. There is no cost for Sahaja Yoga Meditation which is always free.

Getting there
The address is: 95 McClintock Road, Wamuran. From the M1 motorway, take the Kilcoy exit and proceed along D’aguilar Hwy until reaching Wamuran. Opposite the IGA store, turn right and then right again into Station Rd. Turn left at the small roundabout into Newlands Rd for approx 3km, then left into Patane Rd which leads to McClintock Rd.
